CLUBS

DEBATING SOCIETY

The citizen's literary and debating society is a co-curricular club which aims at exploring varied areas of the human experiences. This ranges from the domestic to the secular.                                   
It integrates grooming students on listening, speaking, reading, writing, as well as in grammar and vocabulary.                                          
In citizen's college, kids are given the basic foundations needed in speech presentation in any given gathering anywhere, anytime in the life.

PRESS CLUB

The press generally has to do with gathering, evaluating and distributing facts of current interest. It makes
use of reporters who research and write stories for print and electronic distribution often with the
guidance of editors or producers.

As prevalent with most standard colleges, First Citizen's College (F.C.C), has an outstanding press club made up of both the junior and senior secondary students. These students act as correspondents. They gather, write, edit, and broadcast weekly (during morning assemblies) and on every school occasion most certainly, under the continuous and strict supervision from the club leader, the tutor in charge, who does the final editing before the news is cast, or any material is made public and available to the readers. Such news, in most cases consists of events that have happened in the school, the current ones, and those still on the pipeline. Acting as the voice of the people, the F.C.C Press Club, comments, criticizes, and equally reasonable suggestion raised.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  1. To instill and build confidence in the students.
  2. To improve their speech and writing abilities.
  3. To furnish the students with the information of things happening around them in the school, within the country and the world at large.

YOUNG FARMERS CLUB

Young farmers' club is a voluntary organization introduced by first citizen's college to the students of agricultural science. The club has membership strength of 27 students from JSS1 to SSS 1. The motto for the club is “Food for All Nations”

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

1: To train up students on how to manage farms.
2: To acquaint students with different techniques of farming
3: To make students love agriculture
4: To make information available on agricultural break through to improve      students' knowledge.

 The facilities that are available are as thus:
1: Poultry farm
2: Rabbitery
3:  Arable farm land

DRAMATIC AND CULTURAL SOCIETY

Here in Citizen's College, the dramatic and cultural society is a conglomerate of several cultural activities. This reflects cultural pieces, music, dances and norms within the West African coast, and as such initiate the needs for the students to learn about common features of given cultural ethics.
In drama, the club discovers the latent talent in each child refined and makes them salient.
Generally, the relevance of the dramatic and cultural society in First Citizen's College cannot be over- emphasized.

JET CLUB

Jets means – junior Engineers Technicians and Scientists.,
JETS is a club aimed at teaching and training of the students in Agricultural Science, Home-Economics and Introductory Technology.<
Aims-
The club is aimed at making the students self-reliant in their future careers.
It is aimed at making a good educational system-a sound base for technological development.

Egbe akekoo ijinle ede Yoruba je okan pataki ninu awon egbe to wa fun awon akekoo ni ile- eko yii.
Ede Yoruba je okan ninu awon ise kan-an-pa fun awon akekoo ni awon ile eko giga wa lakokoo yii.  Eleyi lo difa fun agbekale egbe yii kaakiri awon ile–eko giga wa ni orile-ede yii, Naijeriya.

MATHEMATICS CLUB

The apparent loss of interest of students in the study of mathematics is due mainly to lack of proper motivation and encouragement of students to take interest in mathematics. FCC mathematics club was established to arouse and re –awaken the Internet of students in the study of mathematics, to improve the performance of our students in this aspect by taking them through competitions among their peers.

GEOGRAPHY SOCIETY

This is an association of the spatial Analyst: - The Geography students, and other related disciplines. The Geography Teacher of the college heads the club

  • To increase the knowledge of the students on physical and social environments in which man lives.
  • To understand the way of life of people in the world
  • To enable our students choose careers from which they can earn living such as land Surveying, Urban and  Regional Planning, Aviation, Aerial photo and Remote sensing etc
