ADMISSION

SCHOOL FEES

All fees are payable by cash into the schools bank account. A blank teller containing the school’s name and account number will be supplied alongside the bill on admission or at the end of each term. On payment at the bank the duplicate teller should be submitted at the school for official receipt.
Full fees must be paid on or before the first day of re-opening of school.

 

SCHOOL UNIFORM

School uniforms must be purchased at the school. Parents shall not be allowed to sew school uniforms on their own. All pupils should wear black shoes and white socks.

 

GAMES AND SPORTS FACILITIES

The school has an ample playground with many and varied recreational facilities. The large sports field gives room for various games. In stock are varied toys and educational apparatus designed to serve as games while at the same time providing a solid foundation for better learning skills. Friday is the schools general physical education day and pupils are expected to dress in their P.E uniforms provided by the school. On days other than Fridays when pupils have P.E or games in their classes, they are to bring their sports wears in their bags then change into them for the lesson when it is time

SICK BAY


A fully equipped sick bay for first aid and maintained by a trained nurse in attendance is available. All first aid is at expense of the school. Cases which require the doctors’ attention shall be referred to the pupil’s family doctor or the schools doctor and the bill sent to parents.

SCHOOL LIBRARY


A children’s library which can seat one class at a time is available. Pupils are allowed in the library following a time table prepared for the classes.

SCHOOL TERMS


The school academic year consists of three terms. As much as possible these will run in line with the dates announced by the Lagos state Ministry of Education. The school may decide otherwise if there are any disruptions from the announced school calendar. In addition to the end of term holidays, all statutory holidays are school holidays.

 

PARENTS VISITING DAY [P.V.D]


The school opens on the first Saturday after the midterm holidays to parents to visit the school and classes of their children. They inspect pupils work and discuss problems affecting their children with class teachers. They then move to the meeting place for further discussions with teachers and management.

 

END OF TERM PROGRESS REPORT


Each child will be given a report at the end of each term showing his/her performance in various subjects, conduct physical development and attendance at school during the term. Parents/guardians are strongly advised to study the report carefully with a view of devising ways of assisting the child in his/her weak areas during the holidays.
We recommend a regular day to day monitoring of the child’s performance by the parents/guardians. We also welcome parents/guardians at the school to discuss the progress of their children with the class teacher and the headmaster on permission.

SCHOOL PROGRAMMES


Each term ends with a programme
First Term – End of year / Christmas Party
Second term – Inter House Sports Competition
Third term – End of Session Party, Speech and Prize Giving Day/School Leavers Graduation Ceremony.

The school runs the following Clubs and Societies which are open to pupils from Nursery two to Primary six.

Wednesday is clubs and society meeting day. Pupils dress to school in the club or society uniforms on this day.

HOME WORK

Home work is given to children daily and parents and guardians are requested to encourage their wards to carry out their home work and sign when completed. Care should also be taken of the books they carry home.


TEXTBOOKS AND STATIONERY

We wish to ensure that textbooks and stationery are always available for use by pupils. Therefore the school supplies these at printers and publishers price. However parents who wish to procure the textbooks themselves are given list of books to do so.


REMEDIAL LESSON

Remedial lessons are held three times a week for all pupils. Only kindergarten pupils are exempted. Lesson days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.


SCHOOL HOURS

Nursery school hours are from 8:00a.m – 1:00p.m
Primary school hours are from 8:00a.m – 1:30p.m
Remedial lesson 1:30p.m – 2:30p.m
Parents /guardians are advised that their children attend school punctually and regularly.
Pupils who are not on school transport should be collected promptly after close of school.
Parents, who intend to take their children home before closing time should please, seek the permission of the Headmaster or leave a letter with the class teacher.


SCHOOL TRANSPORT SERVICE

Air conditioned buses are available to transport pupils to and from the school on request and payment. Reservations have to be made prior to the beginning of term. The fee charged is highly subsidized.
